Well howdy, toon neighbors! I am proud to present to you the newest feature available on ToonJet.com, and that is Cartoon Sharing! I am hoping to do a lot more with this handy-dandy feature on down the road a bit, but for now, I believe it will stand on its own as it is.

If you haven't noticed on the cartoon display pages, there is a dark blue box about halfway down the page, where the view count, rating, etc. is shown. And now, a new link has been added to "email this." So now, you can share cartoons on ToonJet with anyone you please! Just another great feature of your #1 classic cartoon website, huh? Sorry, don't mean to toot my own bagpipes. I'll leave you to your toon-watching.

If it's not one thing, it's another, right? I didn't realize the cartoons on ToonJet weren't working at all (other than the channels on the main pages) until yesterday. I actually had noticed a problem with the cartoons loading a few days ago, but I thought it was the computer I was on, so I didn't worry too much about it.

So, I finally got around to checking on the problem after being notified of it, and the toons are now on! So, watch on, anxious viewers, because if you're looking for classic cartoons, you've come to the right place.

The last couple of days have been quite hectic for ToonJet.com. If you haven't been around in a couple of days, ToonJet was totally offline with what seemed like no hope for getting it back online...ever.

When I went to check the website late on Wednesday night, ToonJet had been replaced with a generic search page! Yes, the kind that appear when a website expires. So, I thought, did I forget to pay my bills? Has somebody hacked the website? What happened to my precious cartoons? Well, after an INTENSE investigation, I found out a few things that I wasn't aware of, but luckily, as you can see, I was able to get the potentially legal situation under control.

When ToonJet was first created, the domain name was registered before the website was actually created. So then, when I obtained a host for the web space, I had put in a request to have it transfered from the original registrar to the new one. I was told it was all underway, and I guess my mistake was that I went about my business and assumed it was done.

Apparently, the domain had expired after 1 year after not being transferred to my website provider, though it worked for the entire year. The domain name was then passed on to a reseller, who then put up the generic search page until it was sold.

Luckily, I found all this out in time to go and buy back the domain name, which I registered for 5 years. At least now you can sleep soundly knowing that you won't be without your favorite Looney Tunes, Tom and Jerry, and Popeye cartoons for a long, long time. At least I will, anyway... :D

There were problems today with viewing users' profiles and the registration form. Hopefully this has been fixed. Please let me know if you notice any more problems. (Report Bugs Here) Thanks for your patience. I have been working on some site tweaks and trying to fix a few things that have stuck out at me.

Now that I have that out of the way, I have to say this has been an exciting site upgrade for me, and it has been met with a lot of enthusiasm, with nearly 150 users already registered after just over a week online!!! That is 150 times more awesome than I even expected!

So, if you've already registered for an account, get out there and update your options so that your info will show up on your profile page! Also, you can upload your own avatar to display when you're online! (login required). Anyway, thanks for coming aboard, and hopefully the flight will be enjoyable. Stick in there, because there are more features popping up every day!

Great news! ToonJet ver.3 is now live! New features include adding cartoons to favorites, adding other users as friends, and sending messages! But, this is a beta release and you can help make it even better! If you find anything unusual happening with the new site, please use this link: Report Bugs Here! to let me know. I will try and get back to you in a timely manner to let you know the status of the bug.

Also, as you can tell, the site is not 100% complete yet. I still have some projects that I am trying to integrate into the main site, such as a user search section. It may take some time to get it up and running at its full potential, but I hope you will be patient.
