Before The Walt Disney Company, Walt Disney created his own cartoon company, called Laugh-O-Gram Pictures, focusing on cartoons based on fairy tales.

Fleischer Studios is Founded
May 1929

Fleischer Studios, the company responsible for bringing us Betty Boop, Popeye, Superman, and numerous other cartoons, is founded by brothers Max and Dave Fleischer in May 1929.

The First Looney Tunes Test Cartoon is Produced
May 1929

Bosko the Talk-Ink Kid is produced by Harman and Ising as a test cartoon to be shown to potential employers. It isn't officially released until 2000 in a Cartoon Network Movie Special called Toonheads: The Lost Cartoons.

There were problems today with viewing users' profiles and the registration form. Hopefully this has been fixed. Please let me know if you notice any more problems. () Thanks for your patience. I have been working on some site tweaks and trying to fix a few things that have stuck out at me.

Now that I have that out of the way, I have to say this has been an exciting site upgrade for me, and it has been met with a lot of enthusiasm, with nearly 150 users already registered after just over a week online!!! That is 150 times more awesome than I even expected!

So, if you've already registered for an account, get out there and so that your info will show up on your profile page! Also, you can to display when you're online! (login required). Anyway, thanks for coming aboard, and hopefully the flight will be enjoyable. Stick in there, because there are more features popping up every day!
