After being selected to produce the Oswald cartoon series for Universal, Race Riot becomes Walter Lantz's first Oswald short.

First Official Merrie Melodies Released Under Warner Bros.
September 2, 1944

Later dubbed one of the Censored Eleven, "Goldilocks and the Jivin' Bears" becomes the first Merrie Melodies cartoon to bear the Warner Bros. name. It is the last time the character Blackface is used.
